I can't believe it has been a year since I last saw little Sarah. Our first session was at a beach in San Francisco. She just turned one!  In fact, it was baby Sarah's first time at the beach.  We had so much fun discovering and playing in the sand. Fast forward one year, and we are at Stanford University but this time baby Sarah is two and she has a little baby sister.  As a child photographer it is so awesome to see my littlest clients blossom and grow.  Even at only two years old, Sarah is talking in English, Spanish and Hebrew.  I can totally see her following her parents' footsteps and being a student at Stanford one day. And gosh, how cute is her little baby sister with those huge blue eyes.

I find that best family sessions are when we all have fun. This session was no exception. We just walked around the Stanford University's campus and stopped along the way to play. At times I even forgot that I was there to do a job. I am so blessed to be able to do what I do.

Oh my... Just look at this sweet baby.  Easton is adorable!!! I had a wonderful time from the very first moment I met baby Easton and his family at their lovely home in Danville.  In those three short hours that I spent with them, I felt right at home. I feel honored to have shared in their joy of bringing Easton home.  With each newborn session, it is as though I am writing a new story all over again.  Capturing memories to last a life time is my job. What can be better than that.

Here are my top 15 newborn images from my recent photography session in Oakland.  I just love how these images turned out. As a lifestyle photographer I enjoy capturing all the emotion that surrounds a newborn session.  Especially when it comes to brand new parents. The excitement mixed with love and a cute little bundle of joy make for great photography moments.  I suggest to all of my clients to book a newborn session no longer than a month post birth.  During that first month there are so many new things and discoveries. Keep in mind babies grow and change so FAST.

ABOUT THE SESSION

I was so excited when I walked through the door of this family's apartment in Oakland.  It was a beautiful modern home with huge windows and lot's of natural light. My goal was to capture as many details and memories in order to create a story of this very exciting time. Parents of baby Charlie were so warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Sessions are best when everyone is comfortable. We had great music playing and the three hours went by so fast.  I had a short glimpse into their lives as new parents and I was in awe how great they were handling it all.  I knew right away our photos are going to be great.

Baby Charlie is so handsome and he was so sweet during the entire session. He was a joy to photograph. One of my favorite moments was when dad started playing a guitar. Something tells me that there will be a lot of beautiful music in baby Charlie's future.
