Lifestyle newborn session with beautiful baby Stefan

A month or so after I photographed Krulj family's maternity session here in Walnut Creek, I had the pleasure of photographing this lifestyle newborn session with their beautiful baby Stefan.  Baby Stefan made us wait a little longer then expected but he was definitely ready for his photos to be taken.  He was awake for most of the session and didn't cry even once.  It was such a fun and easy going experience for everyone and the fact that we are friends made it that much better. 

About the Family

I've known Krulj family for a few years now and when Amanda initially contacted me I was super excited to photograph these very special moments for them. Our maternity session was a way to reconnect and I could not wait to photograph their beautiful newborn baby boy.  Meeting the newest family member was a joyous occasion for me but one person who was most excited about baby Stefan's arrival was definitely his big sister Olivia. Olivia's highlight of the day was to be able to hold her big brother and give him hugs and kisses. She did an amazing job and those images are some of my favorites from the entire session.  

About the Session

I was taken aback by the level of baby Stefan's alertness.  At only eleven days old he carefully observed his parents and sister.  He smiled and looked directly at the camera.  The three hour session flew by very fast and in the end we got such a variety of beautiful imagery.  The hardest part of this job was picking out my favorites to show in this blog post.
